From the beginning we have dedicated our business to water, a unique and indispensable natural resource for everyone's daily life, and after more than thirty years we can define ourselves as experts.
In 1998 the SEM Group was formed and the bottling and production of Spring Water in returnable polycarbonate bottles began at the Fanano (MO) plant.
In 1999 the Group acquired BPM, a company active in the marketing of bottle water coolers.
In 2002 Nocera Umbra Fonti Storiche S.p.A., a historic company and one of the first italian companies to have obtained the extraction of mineral waters mining concession, joined the Group. With this acquisition, the Group expands its market also abroad by adding a wide range of soft drinks to its offer.
The business of water bottles is consolidated with the acquisition of Water Time, a company specializing in the rental of watercoolers, bottled or directly connected to the water supply network (POU).
In 2007 Nuova S.A.Mi.Cer S.r.l., a company based in the Reggiano Apennines, joined the Group.
In 2010 the Group decided to expand the spring water bottling business by adding a line for the production of disposable PET bottles.
In 2014, a new adventure dedicated to renewable energy with ATON Green Storage, an innovative Italian SME leader in the market of engineering and production of storage systems for photovoltaic systems, joins the historical activity of the Group.
In 2016 the Group assumed its current configuration with the acquisition of Sorgenti Clavdia S.r.l., a company dedicated to the bottling of Natural Effervescent Mineral Water based in Anguillara Sabazia (RM).
In 2020 the Group achieved a turnover of € 50.8 million for mineral waters, € 8.0 million for Water Time and € 8 million for ATON Green Storage.
Today the SEM Group is among the top companies in Italy for the bottling of private label mineral water and the third player on the market in the vending sector.
